Open Tournament – Fortnite

Achieve Victory Royale in Fortnite open tournaments at MEO 2019! Play with your pals or join PUGs in sessions across the weekend on the Fortnite Stage in Margaret Court Arena. All you need is a ticket to MEO to compete!

Registration is required for this tournament
You can register for this tournament at the information desk in Margaret Court Arena. There is no online registration.

Event Structure
Saturday & Sunday
Registration: 9:00am – 10:30am
Sessions begin: 10:30am – 7:00pm. Each session runs for approx. 1 hour.

Tournament format
Fortnite will be played in squads of 4!
Grab your mates and register at the information desk at Margaret Court Arena.

Dont have a squad?
You can still register! we’ll team you up with other smaller groups.

Age restrictions
To register for Fortnite @ MEO, all participants must agree to the Terms & Conditions to participate, as set out here (if you are under 18, your parent or guardian must accept these on your behalf): https://docs.google.com/document/d/1a4_MHNK10_2HcmOhRMoj7TDdovxzPr9ADpLNDIMDmbE/edit?usp=sharing
If you are under 18, your parent or guardian needs to be with you at the event to agree to the T&Cs on your behalf, then you can play without supervision if you are over the age of 13.

Peripherals 
There will be controller setups provided, with the majority of setups being mouse & keyboard. Please let our tournament staff know if you’d prefer to play on a controller on the day. The exact models used will be a Logitech G403 mouse and Logitech G413 Silver keyboard. Plantronics RIG 500 Headsets will be used for audio.

Can I bring my own controller?
Yes, you can bring your controller. Please bring the USB cables associated with the controller to easily connect to your setup.

Can I bring my own mouse/keyboard?
Unfortunately not, however every PC station will be set up and ready to go with peripherals.

Prizepool?
Open Tournament Sessions have a total prizepool of $15,000AUD. Each session has some of this prize pool allocated to it – meaning if you play in any session at MEO on either day, you have the chance to win prizes.

The Fortnite Charity Challenge on Saturday night has a prizepool of $5,000AUD, which will be donated to the winners’ chosen charities.
